In Deriva Arcana, dance and sound become the same organism, which mutates through the energy of Aleta Loop, a choreographer and dancer who transmutes references to butoh and gaga dances, and the experimentation of Auklerg, who transforms voice recordings , synthesis and guitar intervened in a visceral sonic mix. Active since 2022 in the experimental circuit of Mexico City, the duo has brought performance and dance to spaces dominated by sound, with a style that hybridizes noise, industrial sounds and emotional rawness in sessions where improvisation and the energy of the audience play a crucial role.
For their presentation at MUTEK MX as part of the selected acts of the Frente Nacional Call, Deriva Arcana presents a performance in collaboration with Correo Electrónico, the project with which the audiovisual artist Maximo Campo developed software to generate interactive visuals in real time. With the convergence of sound, dance and visuals, Deriva Arcana & Correo Eléctronico present a neural system that will transform physical stimuli into emotional fields.
