Music has been a part of Claire Kenway aka CLAiRe forever, as she grew up to the sounds of her mother’s violin performances and studied a variety of instruments: violin (of course!), voice, bass guitar and a little jazz piano. A bit of a gear junkie, Kenway has a small but mighty arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. Something just flows when those machines come alive and as such, she has several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels Conceptual, Monoclap, Hushlamb, Archipel and more.

With a filmmaker's perspective on visual thematics and narrative, Diagraf combines minimalist aesthetics and complex evolutive graphics with emotive cinematic content. Keenly tuned in to the sounds of the musicians and producers he works alongside, Diagraf often creates new content inspired by their music, working much like a filmmaker in reverse as he edits his images live while the musical performance unfolds.

Much more than an A/V back2back between CLAiRe & Díagraf, two key figures in the digital art circuit in Montreal, Claire Kenway & Patrick Trudeau unite their creative instinct to expand their audiovisual ideas in complex transmedia pieces. With experimentation as a common creative weapon, the duo creates installations and performances with a strong cinematic inspiration to dialogue about instances of the imagination that can be transferred to vivid experiences.
