Aliv^MX

Emotional glitch and deep atmospheres converge in Aliv’s art pop, the new project by producers Enrique Escotto and Guillermo Cota. Aliv emerges in contemporary electronica from the Mexican Bajío area, with a sonic signature that extends to multidisciplinary collaborations in her videos and performances. For their debut at MUTEK MX as part of the projects selected in the Frente Nacional Call, Aliv will premiere the music they have created throughout 2023, along with a set of visuals developed by Jax aka Mexitasis for this presentation.

Enrique Escoto and Guillermo Cota are part of the creative circuit between Guadalajara and Aguascalientes, where they have been developing for more than five years with their solo projects. Guillermo Cota also makes music as Sinxstxsia and is part of Waveheads, a project active since 2018 that has shared the stage with acts like Caribou. For his part, Enrique Escoto makes sound design for cinema and performing arts along with murals, his solo project.
