Since the nineties, Ryoichi Kurokawa has been dedicated to experimenting with synesthesia, intertwining sound, visual and tactile sensations in installations and live performances. Often inspired by nature and the mixture between facts and reality interpreted through electronic media, Kurowaa’s inquisitive style has led him to integrate scientific investigation into his work; he recently collaborated with astrophysicists for a piece inspired by star formations.

In Ryoichi Kurokawa's universe, images, sound and research form an inseparable unit, which he uses to build complex narratives for installations, audiovisual lives and, on this occasion, the large format of the Digital Dome. For this immersive piece, Kurokawa used 3D, VR and sound design to create an intense journey through forgotten urban architecture, in which we can see the multiple transformations caused by the wild force of nature, human and art.

With almost three decades of experience (and three performances as part of MUTEK MX in 2007, 2012 and 2019), Kurakawa brings an immersive piece adapted for digital dome, with new VR elements, to expose us to the infinite possibilities of combining the force of nature with the force of art.
