No PlexusAU/NL+NL
No Plexus, the innovative electronic duo composed of No Compliments and Bec Plexus, thrives at the intersection of genre-fluid experimental music and contemporary classical roots. Their approach blends deeply personal and philosophical themes, as seen in their debut album Rite of Passage. Their music, characterized by intricate synth work, emotive vocals, and sophisticated sound design, explores existential topics such as climate change and modern anxieties through intimate lyrical narratives. In 2024, No Plexus integrates synthetic bird songs and liquid-like sound designs, enriching their mythological and natural explorations. Their dynamic performances, notable for their seamless fusion of sound and visual art, continually captivate audiences across Europe's esteemed stages.
At an intriguing midpoint between rawness and sophistication, No Plexus delivers an immersive live act of high emotional power, thanks to a mix of theatricality, vocal artistry and electroacoustic arrangements. As part of MUTEK MX Edition 20 they present the live version of their album Rite of Pasage (2023), a hypnotic audiovisual experience developed during a residency at the Rewire festival.
