Call for Projects Frente Nacional 2024

We are pleased to officially present the call for artistic projects for our Edition 20 that will take place from October 7 to 20, 2024 in different locations in Mexico City.

The pillars of the call revolve around the following points (IMPORTANT TO READ EACH ISSUE CAREFULLY):

1. To participate, they must be of legal age and belong to the following groups: emerging artists of Mexican nationality or emerging foreign artists with residences established in Mexican territory. With the intention of continuing our initiatives in favor of equality and visibility, we encourage to apply the following collectives: women; sex-generic diversities; people with disabilities; indigenous people; afro-descendants and/or belonging to ethnic minorities.
2. Submit an unpublished work that includes the following profiles: live, original musical performances within the type of music that is presented in the different editions of our network; audiovisual performances that present an innovative use of digital techniques and tools; urban installations and architectural mapping; interactive installations that can be imagined in the social space and in places intervened by MUTEK.
3. The projects submitted must include in their application a creation log indicating the dates and tools used in the process. This call seeks to promote artistic creation and expose it within the framework of the Festival's celebration both in its digital media and in the different physical spaces to intervene during our Edition 20.
4. Applications will be open from 0:00 on Friday, July 12, 2024 until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, that is, each applicant will have 48 hours to submit their proposal using the form provided. IMPORTANT: Proposals sent via email and/or social networks or that have not completed all the requirements set out in these lines will not be taken into account.
5. We will communicate internally (via email) with the selected proposals starting Friday, August 3, 2024 and we will announce their participation between the months of August and September along with the rest of the artists confirmed for our Edition 20.
   
6. The proposals selected from this call will be part of the Play program of our Edition 20, this part of our programming is intended to discover and promote the work of emerging artists.
