Nocturne 360 1

With expected returns and international premieres, Andy Stott, Caterina Barbieri, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones are part of the 18th Edition of MUTEK MX.

Returning to the physical spaces of Mexico City after a long hiatus, MUTEK MX continues and intensifies its commitment to reconnect us with the wonder and emotions that arise from the creative collaboration between humans and technology.

The reconnection with wonder and avant-garde will begin from the kick off at the Domodigital of Papalote Museo del Niño with Multiverse, from the fuse* studio, a large-scale immersive experience that will make us witness the emergence of parallel universes from the vortex of the cosmos.

Afterwards, Caterina Barbieri and her Spirit Exit Live A/V and the bionic harp for generative audiovisuals by Alex Tibbitts aka The Bionic Harpist, will make us part of a ritual as intense as it is contemplative in an audiovisual offering at the center of the mythical Anahuacalli Museum.

Nocturne 360

Nocturne 360 will be the day that will condense the infinite possibilities of digital art in installations, audiovisual performances, live electronics and immersive environments. Its programming will make us witness how consolidated and emerging national and international artists challenge, blur and amplify the creative margins that, edition after edition, shape the MUTEK MX experience. For Edition 18, premiere performances will be presented for Latin America, such as Entanglement, by France Jobin & Marcus Heckmann and the installation and Live A/V by SKY H1 & Mika Oki, as well as the debut in Mexico of artists at the forefront of modular sound and electronic experimentation that have recently delivered impressive albums: Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith with Let's turn it into sound (Ghostly, 2022), Loraine James and her Reflection (Hyperdub, 2021) and Koreless with Agor (Young, 2021).

Thus, the most intense program of Edition 18 continues with its diverse and challenging commitment: from the meta-rave of Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones, to the unmistakable techno of Andy Stott, back after seven years, and the immersion in audiovisual glitch of CNDSD & Iván Abreu to the epic visual environments of JS Baillat, dean of the MUTEK Network, along with installations and special collaborations yet to be announced that will make Nocturne 360 an experience like no other.
