Building on a solid track record at the intersection of digital art and electronic music, MUTEK MX is developing a series of collaborations with the environment that has been shaped in recent years, where Mexico City has expanded its nightlife and cultural offerings.
Not only are new formats being presented, but the platform also seeks to build closer relationships between artists, venues, collectives, and audiences. During the first months of 2026, this collaborative spirit has translated into a series of events that showcase the diversity of its partnerships. The agenda began in March with Animalia Showcase: A Collaboration with Discos Movimiento, followed by a takeover at Yu Yu and a major collaboration with MUAC to inaugurate Tim Hecker's first sound exhibition in Latin America, Wastelands. This is a glimpse into the new practices that MUTEK MX will be implementing beyond its traditional editions, focusing on collaborations that activate different cultural landscapes within the city.
With an extensive agenda, events have been held that integrate cultural institutions, collectives, and emerging platforms, generating experiences that engage with the local context and create diverse echoes and moments. Take a look and stay up to date with the monthly program by following the link:
