MUTEK MX Edition 20: Second Confirmations

Pioneers and disruptors. New referents and precursors. Essential reviews of the evolution of digital art and a sensitive look at the future that is already here. With this new programming preview, MUTEK MX confirms its drive to bring together and inspire audiences, artists, agents and creatives from different generations, disciplines and aesthetics throughout the 20th Edition.

With absolute legends such as Suzanne Ciani, Craig Leon and Mark Ernestus - who arrives with the impressive Senegalese group Ndagga Rhythm Force - in his anticipated debut in Mexico, together with experimentalists and technologists from the continent such as CNDSD & Iván Abreu and Alfredo Salazar-Caro, the 20th Edition offers us a diverse and profound display of innovation as a tool to revolutionize musical production, push for the breaking of sociocultural barriers and as a way to show, through technology, our most human side.

For the 20th Edition, there are also new creative alliances and very special premieres. Saxophonist Bendik Giske and choreographer and contemporary dance author Diego Vega Solorza will present a transdisciplinary performance commissioned by MUTEK MX and an unprecedented B2B between the iconic PAURRO & MNTY will take the stage at Nocturne 360. We will have the premiere of the project between The Bionic Harpist -who captivated us in the 19th Edition-, together with the Mexican producer Techno Para Dos and, for the first time live in Latin America, Nature Wonder Beauty Concept, created by Ana Roxanne and DJ Python.

For A/Visions 1+, the interactive exhibition that can be visited during the two weeks of the festival, comes the premiere in Mexico of HABITAT, an interactive experience by the transmedia artist Heleen Blanken that brings the impact of our actions on Nature to the symbolic level.
