With a powerful and moving performance, the eclectic cast of Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith united poetry, multimedia and sound art in a creative and necessary reflection. Indelible images created by Pedro Maia and classic filmmakers like Pasolini, accompanied by an electroacoustic soundtrack performed in real time, created the immersive space through which Patti guided us with her hypnotic spoken word.
The impact of Correspondences will resonate for a long time in the memories of the people who packed the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris this Friday night, and confirms MUTEK MX's vocation to present profound experiences that connect and inspire us through avant-garde and experimentation.

This was the first in a series of bold collaborations that MUTEK MX will present throughout 2024 to recognize and celebrate the alliances that have been crucial in two decades of festival, creating the point where the strength of DEFENDER and the creative vanguard of MUTEK converge. and challenging established limits and little explored terrain, all this in addition to the programming of Edition 20, which will take place from October 7 to 13.
