Domestic Data StreamersCAT
Domestic Data Streamers is an award-winning studio exploring how to express data through films, design, robotics, web, theater, or architecture in schools, prisons, cinemas, the streets of many cities, and even the United Nations Headquarters. They work for museums, commercial brands and research institutions. They genuinely believe data can be an actual trigger of change and build bridges in a polarized society.
Pau Garcia is a media designer and founder of Domestic Data Streamers. Since 2013, the Barcelona-based studio has researched and produced immersive “info-experiences” and GEN-AI projects for institutions such as the United Nations, Barcelona City Hall, and Citizen Lab. Garcia is chair of the Master in Data in Design at ELISAVA University. It is a guest lecturer at the SVA in NY, the Hong Kong Design Institute, the Royal College of Arts in London, and the Barcelona School of Economics. In 2021, he founded HeyHuman!, an artist residency program that combines music, journalism, data for art research, and social justice. He typically doesn't speak in the third person.
