DJ Fucci x IcebladeMX
With Olmechabot: Guardián Ancestral en la Era Digital, DJ Fucci x Iceblade present an immersive narrative that fuses experimental electronic sounds with hypnotic visuals inspired by Mesoamerican iconography.
In the heart of Mesoamerica, Olmechabot emerges as a reincarnated ancestral spirit, invoked to defend our sacred lands from the shadows of imperialism and modern colonialism. Through the rhythmic pulses of electronic music, this mythical entity communicates with the contemporary world, forging a bridge between the pre-Hispanic past and the liberated future. Endowed with ancient wisdom, Olmechabot possesses the ability to manipulate ancestral vestiges—forgotten ruins, sacred artifacts, and echoes of lost civilizations—to forge an ethereal machine that allows him to physically manifest in our existential plane.
Pablo Ramírez aka DJ Fucci is a producer, DJ, audio engineer, and co-founder of the WAVA WAVA label. With his live sets, he develops an immersive narrative, taking unique risks and innovating within established genres, which has earned him, among other accolades, being the only Latin American producer at Beatport Next Class 2025.
Eduardo Espinosa aka Iceblade is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans fashion, industrial design, and visual arts. His work is distinguished by a surrealist language that observes and responds to the present, crafting critical narratives in the face of late capitalism, cultural erosion, and new spiritualities.
Their audiovisual collaboration, Olmechabot: Ancestral Guardian in the Digital Age, was developed over the summer as one of MUTEK Mexico's commissioned projects this year and will have its world premiere on October 10.
