Orbe Nacimiento is characterized by their search to challenge traditional musical forms. Through this constant search for new textures and sounds, its music favors the creation of a sound universe loaded with meaning, thus generating an experience that stimulates introspection. Goma Xantana is a transdisciplinary artist who explores new transmedia narratives, challenging the boundaries between the physical and the digital.
In her practice, she integrates performance, the mixture of archives, objects and intervened spaces, as well as digital interfaces that allow live manipulation, creating a continuous dialogue between both environments. Goma has placed a special emphasis on using new creative coding technologies, such as TouchDesigner, incorporating depth sensors such as Kinect and Leap Motion, closed circuits and live broadcasts to create performative and interactive pieces.
Orbe Nacimiento and Goma Xantana present an audiovisual collaboration that establishes a dynamic dialogue between Orbe's music and Goma's performance practice, which develops from their live interaction. Using a previously captured video file and complemented by a closed circuit of real-time cameras, this immersive experience responds to the sound environment, to create constantly changing atmospheres as a synthesis between the two processes.
