This 2025 has marked a turning point for MUTEK MX: renewing yourself means returning to what is essential. Thus, MUTEK MX 21 proposed introspection, intimacy and forcefulness as bases to delve into its panorama of digital art and electronic music.

This compact and powerful day reaffirmed the importance of transmuting and persisting. And also that, at the center of the challenges of independence and cultural production without subsidies, is a strong community that gives meaning to this platform: an avid and dedicated audience, pioneering and resilient artists and committed allies who are the vital force behind MUTEK MX.

From October 7 to 12, 2025, A/Visions, Nocturne, the Closing and the collaborations presented by allies took us through sonic and visual imaginaries that will hardly be experienced again in Mexico. In addition to international premieres such as Autechre, Circle Of Live and Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, MUTEK MX 21 was the breeding ground for unreleased collabs and commissions such as those of Lyo XS & San Joserra, DJ Fucci x Iceblade and aya & ztaa; From start to finish, each performance was a premiere in the city.
